Dielectric metasurface enhanced performance in multilayer WS2 photodetector

摘要

Two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides such as WS2 are promising for high-performance photodetectors, but their atomically thin geometry limits optical absorption. Here, we integrate multilayer WS2 with dielectric metasurfaces to enhance light trapping and photodetector performance. An asymmetric Fabry-Perot cavity configuration and dielectric metasurface resonance are combined to strengthen light-matter interaction in the visible regime. The devices are fabricated using soft nanoimprint lithography, enabling scalable integration of nanophotonic structures with 2D semiconductors. This work provides a practical strategy for improving 2D photodetector performance through resonant metasurface-enhanced light trapping.
